WEBER.FLOOR 4010

  • Cement-based self-levelling floor smoothing compound
  • Application: indoor
  • Yield: ~ 1.7 kg/m2 per 1 mm of thickness
  • Bed thickness: 1-6mm
  • Tile laying: after 24 hours
  • Packaging: 25 kg

Key features

  • exceptionally smooth surface
  • resistant to moving furniture on castors
  • foot traffic after 1-4 hours
  • carpet flooring installation: as quickly as after 24 hours
  • perfectly compatible with any carpet flooring adhesives
  • does not contain casein, slag or fly-ash

Field of application:

For patching, levelling and smoothing substrates under thin carpet, PVC, cork, parquet (flexible adhesive recommended), panel etc. flooring. It is designed for indoor use in homes, offices, hospitals, schools, stores, cinemas and public buildings, on concrete substrates, cement screeds, anhydrite/magnesite/bitumen underlayment or ceramic tiles. It is not recommended to allow traffic on weber.floor 4010 (maxit floor 4010) surface without the above-mentioned floor surface finish.

Substrate:

The substrate must be sound, hard, stable, dry and free from impurities compromising adhesion (including grease, dust, glue, old paint or mortar). Glazed tiles must be cleaned with sandpaper. The substrate should have a surface tensile strength of at least 1.0 N/mm2. Seal any holes in the ceiling to prevent mortar leaks. Use e.g. Optiroc S 40 (weber ZT601) mortar to repair major damages of the substrate.

Technical specification:

  • Reaction to fire: A1fl
  • Emission of corrosive substances: cement mortar (CT)
  • Compressive strength (after 28 days): above 20 N/mm2 (C20)
  • Flexural strength (after 28 days): above 5 N/mm2 (F5)
  • Water demand: 5.25-5.75 l of water per 25 kg
  • Flow rate: 240 - 260 mm (flow ring 68 x 35 mm)
  • Pot life: 15 - 20 minutes*
  • Layer thickness: 1 - 6 mm
  • Application speed: up to 100 m2/h
  • Application temperature: from +10°C to +25°C
  • Hardening time: before foot traffic 1-4 h*
  • Tile laying: after approx. 24 h*

* At +20°C and 65% relative humidity. Less time is needed under higher temperature and lower humidity; more time is needed under lower temperature and higher humidity.

Basic working instructions:

The building must have roof, windows and doors. Indoor and floor temperature should be from + 10°C to + 25°C during and after application and for one week after that. The relative humidity of the substrate must be less than 95%. During application and 3 days after that slight ventilation is recommended but draughts must be avoided. Do not allow direct sunlight on or heating of the poured mortar.

Application:

Vacuum clean the substrate and prime it with weber.floor 4716 (maxit floor 4716) (concrete substrates, cement screeds, ceramic tiles) or weber.floor 4710 (maxit floor 4710) (anhydrite, magnesite or bitumen underlayment). Use e.g. weber.floor 4960 (maxit floor 4960) expansion joint tape to install perimeter expansion joint around walls, pillars, pipes etc.

Add one 25 kg bag of weber.floor 4010 (maxit floor 4010) to 5.25-5.75 l of clean water and mix for 1-2 minutes with mechanical slow-motion mixer until you get homogenous mixture. Leave it for 3 minutes and mix again for a short time. The product may be mixed and applied with a mixing pump that helps to obtain correct parameters of the mortar (further information available from the Weber Technical Department). Prepare portions that can be used up within 15-20 min.

Start working from a place most distant from the exit. weber.floor 4010 (maxit floor 4010) should be poured onto the substrate in stripes. The recommended stripe width is 2-3 m for manual pouring and 6-8 m for mechanical pouring. Pour subsequent portions of the mortar quickly enough to ensure that they can bind together when the mortar is still flowing. Divide larger areas into sections with weber.floor4965 (maxit floor 4965).

Spread the poured mortar with a steel trowel. Lay the mortar without any gaps, until the entire section is covered. When large area divided into sections is to be covered, remove foam stripes after initial hardening of the underlayment and pour the mortar onto the adjacent section. Curing membranes are not required.

Hardening time before foot traffic is approx. 1-4 h* Flooring (depending on its type) may be laid after approx. 24 h*

* At +20°C and 65% relative humidity. Less time is needed under higher temperature and lower humidity; more time is needed under lower temperature and higher humidity.

Storage:

Store in original and undamaged packaging, in a dry place. Shelf life: 6 months of the manufacturing date.
